What Comes Next for Me—and for the Dobermans Who Need It

The past few years have been hard.

I lost my home base. I had to rehome one of my Dobermans. I’ve been rebuilding from the ground up.

But through all of it, something’s kept me going:
A mission bigger than me—and bigger than dog training alone.

🐾 Willow’s Wish Doberman Rescue (WWDR) is the nonprofit I started to help Dobermans who don’t have anywhere else to go—especially dogs with behavior or medical issues that shelters won’t take, or will euthanize.

🖤 DoberMerch Designs (DMD) is my Doberman-themed gift shop, and it’s how I’m funding the rescue—every order helps cover vet bills, supplies, and long-term goals like opening a sanctuary.

Our very first save?
A young Doberman named Peralta (formerly Celeno) , mislabeled as aggressive and scheduled for euthanasia.
He wasn’t aggressive—just excited. He got a second chance, and now he’s thriving in his forever home.

This isn’t a typical rescue.
WWDR exists for the misunderstood, the behaviorally complex, and the ones most rescues aren’t equipped to help.
The ones shelters walk away from—or euthanize.

My long-term vision is to open a Doberman boarding kennel and sanctuary.
Not just to house dogs—
to help them heal.

Because Dobermans don’t cope well in shelters.
And because I know what it’s like to need help and feel like there’s nowhere to turn.

This rescue is here to change that—for the dogs, and for the people who love them.

If you want to support what I’m building, here’s how:

Hey Reader, Ever told your dog “off”... and got a blank stare? Here’s why it happens: Your timing’s off. Or your follow-through’s fuzzy. Dogs live in the now. If a reward or correction happens even two seconds too late, they won’t connect it to the behavior. You just confused them. But timing isn’t enough. Consistency is what makes it stick. Use the same word every time.Enforce the same rule every time.Make sure everyone in your house does the same. Dogs are pattern masters. If the pattern is...

A woman in a blue tank top and shorts stands in a sunny park, holding a leash and engaging with a sitting Doberman wearing a studded collar and harness. The Doberman looks up at her attentively.

🐾 Ineke The Dog Trainer Helping real people train real dogs Let’s talk about something hard: when your dogs fight at home. If you’re dealing with growling, snapping, or full-on fights between dogs at home, you’re not alone—and you’re not a failure. Most owners are told to just "manage it"… but what does that actually mean? That’s why I made the Aggression Management Kit. I give this exact plan to rescues and clients when things are falling apart and they need a strategy that actually works....
